The experience of being on a diet is such that it would be difficult to voluntarily resort to this means of self-torture. If it weren't for a "but": I personally saw the results of two weeks of sitting on a "Japanese" diet. As in the magazine: "before" and "after". Still, the beauty and health principle works, perhaps, better.

It's hard to say why the diet is called Japanese - half of the foods recommended to eat are exotic to Japanese. According to legend, the diet was developed by the specialists of the Japanese clinic "Yaeks", but no further traces of this office were found on the English-speaking Internet.

Lyrically sentimental digression

I must say that I admire the courage of people who are able to feel the recipe for weight loss found on the net and immediately try it for themselves. I myself distrust diets. Life linked me to them twice.

For the first time, in severe form, when in the mountains I contracted some kind of stomach infection, and for three weeks at an altitude of 3000 meters, I simply could not eat: everything immediately asked to return. The second time was when I decided to limit my diet to 1000 calories per day. For almost a month, my diet consisted of morning coffee with ice cream, which is useful for lunch, and frozen vegetables for dinner. I learned that the diet should be balanced much later.

So the first question I asked was: How balanced is the Japanese diet? "More or less, but there are not enough amino acids, " replied a biochemist friend, "you will be spiteful, horror with a gun. "His fears about my hypothetical greater cruelty did not materialize. During the first two days, the body was repressed by the sudden disappearance of the normal food of its life. And realizing that this was for a long time, but not forever, he fell silent and indifferent.

Charm and disappointment

As with every experiment on myself, I have amassed a list of charms and disappointments. Or rather, the discomfort and enjoyment of the diet.

Disadvantage # 1

The diet is strict. Because, according to its authors, it is designed to change metabolism. Therefore, the slightest deviation from the course (even a crouton, even an apple), and the expected effect is not guaranteed. And this is what is expected: to separate from 5 to 8 kilograms and stabilize the weight in the future.

Disadvantage # 2

It's very difficult to come to a business lunch and flirtatiously ask me, please, for two hard-boiled eggs and 200 grams of grated carrot. These requests are generally not honored. Therefore, you will have to carry all the supplies with you in your bag. And, most likely, prepare diet meals the day before.

Nice number 1

13 days on the Japanese diet will cost you about 2 times less than daily business lunches or lunch at work. And even more so, the purchase of food for the home.

Nice number 2

In general, it is better not to start a strict diet if at least half of the foods that make it up are unpleasant for you. And since I eat with great enthusiasm in "normal life" and fish, and boiled meat, carrots, kefir and cabbage, then seeing them at my table was, frankly speaking, joyous.

Many people ask questions about drinking coffee every morning, isn't it harmful? If you have heart problems or high blood pressure, coffee can have an adverse effect. And before starting a Japanese diet, it is worth consulting your doctor.

A whole range of sensations

In the first two days of dieting, a vision haunted me: as soon as I closed my eyes, a finely baked pancake appeared before my inner gaze, spontaneously rolling into a tube. Then someone kindly dipped it in strawberry jam and held it to my face. There were no olfactory hallucinations. After chasing me for two days, the pancake was left behind.

A stony indifference and a calm attitude towards culinary delights settled in, which has endured to this day. This does not mean that I will harshly refuse if I am offered to try something tasty. But nervous tremors are no longer observed due to the fact that "there is so much food there. "

I did not throw that much, only 4 kilos, but the weight is not regaining. I don't know who to thank for this: the developers of the Japanese diet or myself, for doing sports twice a week. The only detail: during the diet, it is noticeably weakened and towards the end it becomes problematic to open an unopened bottle of mineral water. But then strength quickly recovers.
